Walkthrough & Notes

This quest counts for the Aiding the Norcrofts deed. Completing Aiding the Eastemnet will cancel this quest This is an instanced public questing area. You must defeat enemies without assistance from the Rohirrim Footmen defending Faldham. When an NPC defender taps an enemy, it will not count towards the quest objective (the mob morale bar will turn white when tapped). From the instance spawn point in front of Thurgyr's Farm, turn right ( east) and there will be a fairly constant flow of spawning mobs from the southern fields which can be easily intercepted before reaching the NPCs. Be aware of these spawns when collecting buckets. It's possible to mount in this instance which helps speed return to the buckets and moving around generally. You can leave by interacting with the Return to Cliving horse close to the water buckets location (east entrance to Faldham). Or by using the 'Leave Instance' feature by right clicking on the character portrait. It's possible to set your Milestone to Faldham within this instance.

Bestowal dialogue 'A large force of goblins and Wargs has been sighted moving towards Faldham. Only the town centre has a wall; the remainder is all farmsteads spread across the plains. They will not be able to hold long without immediate aid. 'Will you join the fight and protect my people?' Background The Enemy is marching towards the small township of Faldham. Objective 1 Defeat goblins and Wargs near Faldham (0/10) Goblins and Wargs can be found at the farmsteads around Faldham. Aldbéort asked you to aid in the defence of Faldham. Aldbéort: 'Faldham will not defend itself, <name>. Are you ready? Enter the Public Instance: Defence of Faldham Objective 2 Talk to Aldbéort Aldbéort is at Cliving. Aldbéort will be pleased to hear Faldham has been defended and the attackers driven back. Aldbéort: 'I do not know how many more assaults we can repulse. Every day, our numbers grow fewer. That can be tomorrow's problem...for now, it is time that we had a drink.'
